Update: ZTA and AFP raised $425 towards breast cancer education and awareness!! Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth! We appreciate all the support!
I’ve always wanted to do something with my photography that was bigger than just getting “likes” on Facebook. Last October I had an idea to do a fund raiser since it was Breast Cancer awareness month, but it never panned out. This year, October snuck up on me. The first day of October I was walking to class and saw a pink ribbon chalked on the sidewalk, and I decided this year I need to make something happen….
So here’s the deal!
The sisters of Zeta Tau Alpha and A. Ferguson Photography are joining forces to raise awareness about breast cancer. After some serious brainstorming and considering I decided I wanted to do this literally a week ago, we decided we would raffle off some photos at the Homecoming game. So on Saturday, Oct. 13th at the West Virginia Wesleyan – West Virginia State football game, there will be a table set up with the following five photos. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the table before and during the game. Each photo will have its own basket which we will draw from in the middle of the 4th quarter to determine the winner for each photo.
All proceeds will be towards breast cancer education and awareness!
Some details about the photos: All photos are framed! Four photos will be 10x13s, and the “sunset” photo will be a 15×21. This photo is special because this is the first print of this photo, and it’s the first time I’ve made this photo available for purchase!
I’m hoping for a great turnout and can’t wait to see where these photos end up calling home!
For the longest time I have always wanted to get into concert photography, but have never had been presented with an opportunity to do so. When I found out that I was going to get to cover the No Shoes Nation Tour at Arrowhead, I was very excited to finally see what concert photography was all about.
